Fall Recipe–Creamy Chicken & Broccoli Soup

Thanks to Jan May for submitting this recipe! You could easily make this GFCF. Here are her notes:

Here is a yummy creamy chicken and broccoli soup with tarragon recipe that is comforting and filling! It was passed down from my mother-in-law who was in the catering business. I make it for my family and we all love it! You can switch out the vegetables or add different ones as you like. Portobello mushrooms are incredible with this! Sautee them first in butter before you add them.

Reach Out and Help Someone!

The other night I went to the grocery store. Alone. Yes, alone. It is just easier on me that way–mentally and physically.

So, there I was in the check out aisle, brain frazzled from trying to make sure I figured out all the best ingredients and savviest savings. There was a mom in front of me. A mom with a full cart and a little girl sitting in the seat. A little girl who wanted to get OUT! Continue reading

The Organized Homeschool, A Review

If you are not a homeschooling mom, I still encourage you to read this review and consider purchasing Anne’s book (Dynamic money-and-sanity-saving deal at the end!). You’ll understand why by the end of the review.

Anne Elliott is one of my new heroes, or I guess more realistically, one of my new friends. I hope she doesn’t mind! What I love most about Anne’s book The Organized Homeschool is her transparency. I usually feel intimidated by organization books, but Anne shares personal stories that let you know she’s been where you are! Here’s a nice, professional picture of her. If you want to see a more realistic day-to-day family picture, you’ll have to order her book! She’s not afraid to show you her home and her family. Continue reading

Share the Wealth

This post is inspired by a Twitter conversation I had with two buddies and guests of MHM. We were discussing gluten-free finds, and I mentioned that we were having orange juice pancakes. One of my buddies exclaimed over my ingenuity. I don’t call it ingenuity. I call it desperation (explanation to come). Continue reading
