This post contains an affiliate link to Well Planned Day planners. I am not an affiliate for the Family Hope Center. I received a scholarship to their seminar so I could review their program(s) on behalf of special needs parents. All opinions expressed are my own.
My week of rest is over after The Family Hope Center special needs seminar. For two weeks I have been gearing up to get more serious about Dr. J’s program. I’ll be using a lot of the power of one and mind control. I’ve been feeling overwhelmed because life has been crazy lately and our apartment is so small. I look around our little apartment and wonder how I can do it. But I have been set up for success.
The Family Hope Center has given me everything I need. Just like one of the other special needs parents said at the seminar, “What we need to do is easy. It’s a lot of hard work, but we can all do it.” Matthew and Carol have given me information, ideas, and checklists to keep me on track. I have many people who believe this can be done and I know that God will give me strength. I will continue my mantra, “Just keep swimming.”
I have been thinking of and starting to collect the things I need for Josh’s sensory program and looking into items that will help with the physical mobility program. Dr. J and I measured the apartment hallway and our large dining room/living room area so we can calculate how many floor mat pads to get for the crawling/creeping program.
I am also going to use my Well Planned Day planner to keep me organized with Dr. J’s program. It is a homeschool planner, but there is room for extra things, and I can easily add in his program. There is a place for a teacher daily schedule and a place for Dr. J’s schedule. There are also pages for goals and progress reports. I will be able to track his progress and change things as we move along. Of course since this makes me hyperventilate, I am going to be flexible.
